ARBIE

Refund Policy · v1.0 · in force 4 September 2026

Version 1.0, in force from 4 September 2026. It replaces v0.1, which said it did not apply until it was finalised — this version applies now.

Refund Policy

Arbie is a flat monthly software subscription. This page says plainly what you can expect if you want your money back. It sits alongside section 6 of the Terms of Service and does not replace it.

1. Your rights come first

Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If the service fails a consumer guarantee, you are entitled to the remedies the law provides, and no term on this page can take those away.

2. What Arbie charges for

You pay for access to the software — the board, the converter, the hedging and reconciliation tools — for the month ahead. You do not pay a percentage of anything you win, and Arbie never holds your money: your bets sit in accounts you own, laid on your Betfair account with your own Betfair application key — including the lays Arbie places automatically to finish covering a hedge you started, which section 2 of the Terms of Service describes in full.

It follows that betting outcomes are not refundable. A losing month, a bet you placed and regret, a price that moved before your bet matched, or a bookmaker limiting or closing your account are not grounds for a refund of the subscription. Sports betting can lose money and no software changes that.

3. Change of mind

Subscription periods that have already started are generally not refunded on change of mind. You can cancel at any time and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for; you are not billed again after that.

If you cancel within 48 hours of your first ever payment and have not placed or logged a position, ask and we will refund that first period in full. That is a deliberate exception for "I signed up and it is not for me" — you should not pay a month to find that out.

4. When we refund

We will refund a period, in whole or in part, where:

Where a defect on our side caused a financial loss — for example a bet placed with numbers the software got wrong — tell us. That is a separate question from a subscription refund, it is taken seriously, and it is looked at on the facts rather than against a policy.

5. When we will not

6. How to ask

Email hello@arbie.com.au from the address on your account, or message the owner in-app. Say which period and what happened; you do not need a form or a reason code.

We aim to respond within 3 business days and to process an approved refund within 10 business days. Refunds go back to the payment method that was charged — a PayPal subscription refunds to that PayPal account, and a bank transfer is returned by bank transfer. We never send money to an account other than the one that paid.

7. Referral credit

Referral balances are earned on the periods your referees actually paid for. If one of those periods is later refunded, the credit earned on it is reversed. Credit already paid out is not clawed back.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes are notified in-app before they take effect, and the version that applies to a payment is the one published when it was made.
